Cotton + Steel & Denyse Schmidt Fabric Giveaway

I've been in the quilt den/yarn vault
this weekend
starting a new quilt!

And as I began clearing my cutting table,
I realized I have quite a few leftover components
from this quilt.

Would you like them?

I don't know how many segments are here,
but there's quite a few.
They're ready to become 4 patch blocks
or whatever you'd like them to be!

All Cotton+Steel and Denyse Schmidt
paired with a Moda grey print from French General.
If you'd like them,
just leave a comment here and let me know
what you'd do with them!

I'll draw a winner next weekend!
So tell me,
what would you make with them?

*Peace!

Oh my, they look lovely. I love working with scrappy bits and it seems they are more interesting when they come from somebody else's stash! I would likely piece these together to make a patchwork bag -- or maybe a couple!

These must be so hard for you to part with! I would put them together to make a warm lap quilt for my coooold sewing room. I usually throw a sweater over my legs to keep me from freezing. I need a colorful patchwork quilt before the Iowa winter is over!

I've been making Granny Squares with my scraps but I'd use these for one of the four by four quilts. Thanks.

I would try to make a table runner. I can always add fabric if there aren't enough for the pattern. Or, if too many, I could use the remainder for some scrappy zippered bags. Thanks for sharing! notwendy gmail

My first thought is a table runner, but then I'm thinking that some cushion covers would be a great idea too! Thanks for the chance!!

Amy said...

Doll quilts, yes, I can see your scraps as doll quilts. Or maybe as the start of the APQ four patch along. Can't wait to see your finish.

Lotte van der Linden said...

I think I would make one of those fabric baskets to keep more scraps in, or maybe a small quuilt with a disappearing ninepatch pattern.
I love the cotton + Steel fabric and have used it in two dollquilts.
Yhanls fot the opportunity!

Quiltsmiles said...

Nince scraps, if chosen I'd make a baby quilt with a matching doll blanket. Thanks for a chance.

This would be so much fun for me! I do a lot of hand applique but have recently made some 4-patches. They look boring because I used old muted colors. Your fabrics are inspiring. I'd add some solids and neutrals and play for awhile, maybe make a "tablecloth", more like a table cover than a runner, if that makes sense. Thanks for sharing your work.
