So How Was Your Weekend??

I hope so!
Mine was!
Mainly because it was in the 70s and 80s and there was

Amazing sunshine!

I got a few things done too!

I finally turned the binding on this one.
A trip thru the washer and dryer and it's all puckered and ready for action!

I prepped the other blocks for my Serendipity quilt!

They're in their little case...ready for needleturn at some point!
I'm storing them in a spiffy 12" x 12" plastic case that's meant for scrapbooking supplies.
But it works like a charm to store these blocks!

I've got my supplies in a hard shell eyeglass case.
Everything fits in there just fine and it keeps the eyeglass case out of the junk drawer!

I haven't knit much this weekend, but plan to do so for the rest
of what's left of it!

I've got 16 more LOOOOOOONG rows to go on the WearWithAll Stole before it's
time for a color change!
The rows are so takes me about 20 minutes per row!
So there won't be a color change tonight,
but I'll hope for a new color by next weekend!

So...tell was YOUR weekend?

Thrifty Thursday!

Hello there! It's Thrifty Thursday and I e actually got a post today!

Nothing major. Just popped in to G'Willys on Tuesday after a brief hiatus. Found this cool pottery bell!

And this groovy piece of Mood Indigo! I know, throwback to the 70s huh?

I've got a small collection of a few choice pieces of Mood Indigo. I just love the vibrant blue/green combo. This will do nicely to hold scissors etc on a side table.

Hoping with the sun out now that I'll get my thrifting mojo back!

Obla Dee Obla Da

Thanks for the cyber hugs and emails over my mini meltdown!
As the song says, life goes on!

We had quite the week last week leading up to the kids' departure!

You may have seen Sioux Falls on the news.  We were hit by a horrendous
ice storm that took out almost half of the city's power!

We only lost ours for 24 hours, but the kids weren't so lucky.
So they were staying with us prior to their departure.
Which may have made last Saturday's leaving all the more harder.
But...we got thru it.
Power is restored.
Life moves on!

I've been going from project to project,
as usual!

I've been knitting occasionally on the Hayward sweater I started.

I'm ready to begin raglan decreases on the back!
I hope I'm not in over my head with a sweater project,
but I'll never figure it out if I don't try!

And I've got all the applique pieces traced and one block
prepped for the Serendipity quilt!

I used my Roxanne's Glue-Baste-It and got busy today.

Once it's dry, I'll set out to get the other three blocks prepped
and then will have it at the ready!
I love Jan Patek's big four block quilts!

I've also been stitching.

Maria Selby Humphrey 1831 is moving along!
Another great Blackbird Designs piece, I'm really enjoying working
on this!  The colors are a nice departure from the Peace sampler I finished recently!

I'm using the GAST threads as charted.
Stitching on 36ct Lakeside Linens Vintage Pearled Barley.

And the WearWithAll Stole hasn't seen much attention.

But I'm going to remedy that this afternoon!
It's another cloudy day and I'm anxiously awaiting spring!
So I'll just settle in with my knitting,
under my daylight lamp,
and dream of spring!

Don't Mind Me

....I'm just in a small state of pouting/sobbing/mourning. Miss Avery and her parents left this morning for their new life in western Nebraska. :o(

So hard to have them move away.

Such is life, right?

A Nice End To Another Monday

A little Blackbird Designs finish! My adaptation of Summer Song! I started it yesterday after Miss Avery went home. Whew!! 24 hours of an almost three year old and it was all I could do to pick up a needle! A nice, easy, mindless quick stitch! Happy Monday!

Saturday So Far!

Happy Saturday!

So far this Saturday morning, I've pressed the Peace Sampler!

Yep!  I finsihed it!  Last night at small group!

Glad to have a stitching finish for a change!

I've also been busy prepping a new quilt project!

I thought it was time to get an applique quilt in the mix!

Jan Patek's Serendipity will be ready for needle turn soon!
I've loved this quilt for a long I figured now is a good a time as any to get started on it!

And now we have a visitor for the day and night!

Miss Avery is here!!  Time to get some Macaroni & Cheese made!
Isn't she getting big!?

The Black Crow Has Landed!

There will be Peace Sampler stitching happening tonight! What are you working on this evening?
