Sampler Sunday Start #5 - The Finale

Well here we are!! The final Sunday in January...the last Sunday to start a new sampler, as challenged by Laurie.

Today I decided to start this!

The Garden of Eden Sampler by the Needles Prayse DMC on 32ct Days Gone By Silkweaver

Thoroughly enjoying every stitch! I do have an aversion to hearts, so there will definitely be changes to the design!

It was a fun challenge to start something new each Sunday in January! Let's recap!

1st Sunday - Frederick by CHS
2nd Sunday - Maria P Oliver by CHS
3rd Sunday - Dutch Beauty
4th Sunday - Mary Prentice 1831 by CHS
5th Sunday - The Garden of Eden Sampler by the Needles Prayse

Now if you've read my blog for any amount of time, you know I don't do well with a set stitching schedule, rotation or assignment. I'm a stitching rebel that way I guess. ha! But...having said that, I feel good about adding these into the stitching mix!

I'm planning to continue the Sampler Sunday theme! It feels good to get back to some sampler stitching!

Next week I'm going to bare my soul aka the pile of WIPs in the sampler department. I can't quite remember everything I've got stitches in, so it will be good to get them all out and document them.

The plan is this: there will be NO MORE new starts until something I've already begun is finished! That should work out well! Some of the January starts have been smallish...some not so much. A nice mix!

Okay..back to the needle! Happy Sunday!

*Peace!

I love your new start! I think I have this one in my stash pile somewhere!! And I think I even have a piece of that linen!!

Love your resolve for new starts - not starting another one until you finish one. I'm trying to do the same thing. But it's got to be in stash - no buying new stuff. And I like that you're a rebel - gives us more things to look at every time you start something whether it's knitting, quilting or stitching!

Another great start - I'm loving the border on this one. I should have done this. I would have had a head start since I could pull out way more than 4 samplers I have started already - LOL! I'll be looking forward to seeing the progress. Happy stitching-

Wow, what a pretty new start! I think you can manage to finish one of your WIPs before starting another project -- no problem! As for documenting all your WIPs -- you're a braver woman than I am. lol!

Very nice last project start for the Challenge. I see you are as big a fan of CHS designs as I am... I miss Kathy Barrick but hope she's enjoying her jewelery designing as much as I enjoy stitching her old designs.
They say confession is good for the soul... but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to list ALL my WIPs. I will be listing those WIPs from last year that I hope to complete in 2012 on my next posting.
Since I already have my first mini finish I can start another new project per your rules. lol :-)

I hope you can keep Sundays for sampler stitching... I've enjoyed your stitching posts.

Usually as soon as I say "no new starts until..." I end up either not stitching or starting everything in sight!

Love your new start!

Ooo, love the new piece -- heck I love them all. And I'm really fond of thed new piece each weekend plan. Hmmmmmm that could work out for me, but possibly only if I do it every other month at most. :)
