Quick Quilt For Avery & a GIVEAWAY!

Last night I finished piecing the new quilt for Miss Avery Mae.

Nothing much quicker than a simple nine patch, yet it's one of my most favorite blocks EVAH!

Tomorrow when I get home from the office, I'll settle in for the weekend, spray baste this, and get it quilted on the Bernina. She'll be able to snuggle up with it in no time! That's the plan anyway!

Do you have your own "Avery" that you'd like to make a quilt for? I've got leftover fabric.

Even after using this for the backing, I've got about 3 1/2 yards left. It's from an older Minick & Simpson Moda line...Scaredy Cat. But it's not scary at all!

If you'd like the leftover yardage...in one long running cut, just leave a comment. You'll have to pair this great fresh print with other fabrics of your own choosing. Though I paired it with a salmon color Bella Solid, it would look great with a celery green....or mixed in with lots of other prints! It's quite versatile!

Please be sure and leave a way for me to get in touch with you if you enter for the giveaway! I'll draw a winner via random number generator on Monday!

*Peace!

Very pretty, Kim! Love the bright colors. Please don't enter me in the draw, though. I'd never make a thing with that much fabric. Better let someone else have it.

OOhh, I've got my own Little Greyson that is needing a Big Boy's Quilt of his own. I make my nieces and nephews quilts when the 'graduate' from the crib to their big beds. And it's almost tmie for Greyson to be doing that!

Love the nine-patch! And yes, my little girl would love a quilt with that fabric! :-) I've been wanting to make her something to snuggle with, since her brother has a quilt but she doesn't have one yet! So, here's hoping! :-)

Kim... thanks so much for your sweet comment to my bday post. Also, I don't quilt, would love to though. Besides hooking, I do sew, so quilting is something I'm definitely interested in. Was out of town over the weekend, and a friend was showing me her gorgeous quilts she's made over the years. Sigh.......... I would love to be entered in your giveaway, quilter or not. Love all pretty fabrics!
