May Into June

When I wasn't blogging regularly, or thrifting regularly, or quilting regularly, I also wasn't stitching regularly! UGH! I hate those funks! But I'm out of it now and am back to SDW.

Unfortunately my page 5 for May did not get completed, but luckily May fades right into June, in more ways than one! The page 6 for June is really less than 1/3 of a page, so I'll get all caught up for certain!

No stress...just a loosely self-imposed deadline for myself to keep on track! Do you adhere to a strict stitching schedule? or do you just stitch all willy-nilly?

*Peace!

Usually I'm more on the willy nilly side but I also tend to get obsessed by stuff so it'll often get done all in a rush.

Isn't that your German sampler? (hope my memory serves right here...lol)It looks great. Loving it.
Personally I tend to set my self deadlines, and get then stressed out by my very own goals...lol. Trying to avoid that in future

I'm glad you're out of your funk and back to stitching. You'll be caught up in no time at all.
I don't have a stitching schedule... that sounds too much like work. lol :-)

I've always been a willy nilly stitcher, but recently, I decided to start a rotation. I won't set goals (i.e. One page of ______ during the two weeks I'm stitching on it) but I will be following a list of projects as I switch from one to the other.

I'm a rather willy-nilly stitcher, but that tends to be nightly! And MOST of every weekend... Speaking of which I need to go find a mailing address... TODAY!! Yikes...

Absolutely gorgeous! You really have to stop showing this to me. I need to get back to it. (I think I need to rip out the blackwork section on top and just leave it out. I'm not happy with it and it's cramping my style.) You'll do it -- May and June -- no problem!

I am a willy nilly stitcher until the piece I'm working on is about 75% completed. Then I get focused on finishing it and nothing else. I have placed self imposed deadlines on myself but never keep them. LOL.

Your sampler looks great and I love, love, love your quilting!

I'm a goal oriented person, but I also know they're goals and not hard and fast deadlines, so I don't stress if I don't finish them each month.

There is nothing worse than a funk. I'm glad to hear that you're out of it. You'll be caught up on your sampler in no time and it looks like it's going to be a beauty.

KK..your SDW is beautiful. About as "scheduled" as I can be with stitching, I told myself I would devote any stitching time I have on the weekend to Ann Grimshaw..it actually worked for 3 weeks straight. It doesn't mean I won't work on it at any other time, but if I stitch on the weekend, it will be that. If you are not totally confused, I can try again. lol. MM

SDW is looking great. That's on my long list of samplers to stitch one day. I've been trying to implement a rotation but it seems life gets in the way I'm trying to follow it but if I don't, I don't get all bogged down in the rules I made, they are more guidelines. I think we should really just enjoy our handwork whenever we can. It seems a screaming rotation suits my personality more, which means I stitch on what is screaming the loudest! :)

Oh so pretty! I am glad to hear you are feeling better. I try to stick a plan, but oftentimes it ends up more willy nilly than not. I do stick to stitching on ATS on Sundays though.

lovely project. I usually don't have a schedule on my stitching unless I stitch for a birthday.
