Woooohooo!! Two posts in one day! Guess I'm chatty today! ;o)
Yesterday I spent the day with my pal, Blogless Kimm, as mentioned earlier. And she was so sweet! She gave me a wonderful thing...
Blackbird Designs Autumn Bouquet that she stitched a few years back!
She had never framed it and didn't see herself getting it framed, so I gladly took it off her hands! This was in my 'to stitch' pile, and now I don't have to stitch it! Instead I can enjoy the fruits of my friend's labor! Thanks Kimm!!!
And so, one good turn deserves another! She also gave me back a chart that I had lent to her.
A few years ago I stitched a sampler...
one of my most very favorite samplers! Moira Blackburn's Time And Season Sampler!
When I stitched mine, I did my own conversion from the chart, using Vikki Clayton's Hand-Dyed Fibers Vikki had even asked if she could use my conversion on her site, and of course I said yes. I think her colors may have changed over the years, but I bet you can come close!
So let's have a giveaway for this lovingly used Time And Season Sampler chart! Just leave a comment on this post if you'd like to add this one to your stash!
This afternoon, I baked cookies (oatmeal raisin...fiber is good!), and have spent quite a bit of time thumbing thru old quilt books and enjoying some eye candy made of fabric.
I've been spending quite a bit of time with these two in particular...
So many examples of fabulous quilts...
including utility quilts, which are my favorite. The Folk Art Quilts book has been especially pivotal in several quilts I'm working on.
What's your favorite quilt book for eye candy?
And remember, if you'd like to win the Time And Season Sampler chart, just leave a comment. I'll draw a winner on Wednesday.
Now I'm off to enjoy the rest of Sunday! Time to fix a quick dinner and then work on Ann Rayner this evening!
