Thrifty Thursday!

It's Thrifty Thursday again! Are you tired of my thrifty finds yet? Well..let's get to fun things first!

The Giveaway!!

Love Random Number Generator! The winner...

Number 8!!

Still learning about wines myself. I do like pinot grigios.

Amy

Amy--email me with your address and I'll get this right out to you!

Thanks for those that left a comment and/or a wine suggestion!

I did two different outings this past week....but only stopped to take pics of the first 'haul', so I'll share the other goodies next week!

Everything was two bucks.....so ten bucks here!

Love this little stool! Of course I will paint it! Probably red...or maybe black! These are great to have beside a chair to stack books. Definitely little stools get put to use in my home!

And the stool is sitting in a lovely tray. The back says it's 'rubberwood'. I won't paint this one...but my initial intent when I bought it was to do a colorful mosaic on it with broken china. Now I'm not sure because I'm not sure it has enough depth to accommodate a mosaic. Still a very nice tray, so we'll see how I put it to use!

And this is what was on the back of the other items:

Hmmmm...now I feel badly about considering a paint treatment on these frames!

But they're a bit too "Shellac-y" for me! So I may have to do what I have to do to de-shine these! Suggestions? I loved the repro vintage seed packet graphics! Always a sucker for the seed packets....I coughed up the $6 for the set of three. Now to tend to the frames.

So as you can see....more thrifty finds = more painting projects for me! :o) It's fun...it's inexpensive...and it keeps me out of the bar. That's what I always tell the hubs. ;o) I remind him I could be two-fisting it in a bar with a cigarette dangling from my mouth as I plug money in to the video lottery machines.....orrrrrrrrr.....I can thrift and paint and quilt and knit and stitch and and and.....

I prefer the latter!

*Peace!

Cool finds, as always! My SIL stitched those seed packets on 36 count linen many years back. I still can't believe how much time they took. She still has them in her kitchen and they are so cute.
Can't wait to see what you do with the frames.
