Thrifty Thursday & Giveaway!

It was great fun thrifting in Dallas last week! But there's nothing quite like my home sweet home thrift stores! I found a few treasures this week back here in SD!

First off, these lovely painted eggs!

I loved the graphic nature! Some look like quilts! Some are obviously hand done, others, maybe just hand colored. But I love them! They were in a grab bag for $2! The other inhabitants of the bag are not pictures.....a maraca from Mexico...and some weird wooden thing that has found it's way to the bottom of the trash! The maraca was spared, as we do have some other maracas from Mexico...so it's in good company!

And the lidless teapot....with the CRACKLE....

and the BIRD......

Needs cleaned up....but for $1.69....it was a no brainer. I can see this holding flowers and being a lovely vase!

Then this lovely piece of Homer Laughlin china. I'm not familiar with the pattern..but I love it!

It was THIRTY CENTS! Yep...it had GREEN on it..so it was 1/2 price today...in honor of St Patrick's Day!

And you will NEVER...EVER...in a million YEARS guess what was in the CLEARANCE BIN today????!!!! You'll never guess. Because it's a duplicate of something I found a while back! I couldn't quite believe it myself!

YEP!!! ANOTHER SAMPLER MUG!!! I have never seen these until I found the first one a while back. And then today...another one? Are you kidding me?

So guess what the GIVEAWAY item is this week???

Just leave a comment, and you'll be in the drawing for the sampler mug! If you mention the giveaway on your blog and link to my blog, leave another comment letting me know and you'll get two chances! It's in impeccable condition! I promise I'll wash it before I pack it up to mail to you!

I'll announce the winner on next Thursday's "Thrifty Thursday" post! Good luck!

*Peace!

Kim, first of all I love going to thrift stores too. I found your blog on Donna's blog. Those eggs that you found are Polish, and they are usually hand painted. I have quite a few from a polish meat market that we used to live around. I have never seen a sampler mug before it is very unique. I would like to be put in your drawing, I have already put you on my blog to follow now I will put you on it so others can put their name in for the drawing too.
Thank you,
Becky J, MI

Kim! You always find the best stuff. I have been searching for one of those sampler mugs ever since you posted your first score. I've exhausted ebay and my local thrift stores trying to track one down and now you found a second one! So yes please enter me in your drawing.

Now I wonder if there's a set of sampler dishes out there somewhere.....
