I've had some recent acquisitions show up in my mailbox the last few days! Wanna see?
First I must say I felt like I won the lottery when my fast-typing fingers moved swiftly enough to order and complete check out at The Loopy Ewe for a lovely skein of THIS!!
Behold the Ocellat Jewel Beetle...Skinny Bugga....from The Sanguine Gryphon! Ah a sight to behold! Look at the yummy colors! Can't wait to stick some needles in this stuff! It's apparently very difficult to get your hands on. I was lucky last week!
Then..it was with great sadness I heard that Yellow Bird Art quilt shop is closing. I had never actually made it over to Lansing, Iowa to visit the shop in person, but have shopped online and enjoyed their blog for quite some time. Knowing they had quite the extensive Sue Spargo collection, I hightailed it to the phone and called Amy to see what kits and patterns they might still have in stock.
and I scored....
The Victoria Tote kitted! Just exactly what I was hoping for! Along with a few patterns...I just love Sue Spargo's style, so was thrilled to bring home some new stash and shop with Amy & Yellow Bird Art again.
And yet more delectable sock yarn....this time Koigu...
The stuff of legends! Another yarn you hear so much about, and I prevailed on the Bay of Evil and home it came!
With acquistions coming in right and left....it's probably a good thing I'm completing some things too!
Basted quilt #2 done!
Another eyeball cross-hatch job. I'm pleased! Do you realize how much binding I'm going to have to sew once I get all five quilts basted...AND pick up the three from the longarm quilter? Geez! Good thing I like handsewing that binding! I hope it doesn't detract from the sock knitting!
I leave you with a parting shot...
Ocellat Jewel Beetle.....glorious!
