Thrifty Thursday

Meager finds this week, my friends....colorful, yes....exciting...not really!

Someone cleaned out some kitchen cupboards.

and dropped off some colorful Pyrex. So I shelled out $5.83...

and brought it all home with me. Four pieces..including the elusive red! It's a red 2 1/2 qt oval. I likey! No lids...so I suppose I could be on the lookout now for the lids...or not. If they materialize during my treasure hunting, that's fine! I'm not going to be on a mission or anything though!

Do you like colorful 'vintage' Pyrex?

*Peace!

What an awesome find. I have a couple of pieces that belonged to my grandmother and a piece that my mom gave me.

Oh that's fun! I love the farm couple on the blue one! Vintage, colorful pyrex! I have a yellow pyrex bowl from a set from my wedding -- does that count? lol! I'm pretty vintage after all! Great finds!

I have a vintage Pyrex that I use almost every day! Now does that say anything about me? VINTAGE! We got it for a wedding gift almost 35 years ago! I still have the lid!

Oh, I am sooooo jealous! I just love these old bowls. The turquoise is my favorite! And that red is an amazing find. So, where do you live? LOL

What a great score.

I love those! That's the first area I scope out in the thrift store. The Pyrex and all the funky 1970s Corningware or maybe that is Pyrex too.

Great finds!

Oh my, they're cool. They instantly remind me of when I was growing up!

I *love* your pretty little Pyrex finds! Especially the blue one, love the pattern on it! I have only a couple of little pieces of it, one an oval pink with flowers and a lid. I got a few Pyrex treasures when we cleaned out my father-in-law's house. You find such neat stuff!

I didn't know these even HAD lids! I have several of these "vintage" pyrex bowls at home....however, mine are boring white with brown, but I do have one that is yellow.

I love pyrex! It cleans easily and things cook beautifully in it. I love your set - especially the pink but I also really like the red and the scene on the blue one is precious.

Great finds! You can never have too much Pyrex.

Those are so pretty!! My mother has a set of bowls with the same design and the blue one... except hers are the reverse. The pyrex is white and the design is that color blue.
Lucky find!

Kim - great finds once again. I love all the different designs on the Pyrex. And yes, I do have some of that stuff myself. Passed down from my grandmother and what I hauled away from my dad's. Can't beat the stuff for cooking in.

Ain't nuthin like dipping a peanut butter samich in a pyrex measuring cup full of milk.

Hi, Kim :-)

Please, pardon my atrocious grammar. I get childishly giddy thinking about such ineffable things as Peanut Butter and Pyrex.

How have you been these last 27 years?

I have four pieces in the pink acorn pattern. It's not easy to find either.
